About Me

An analytical mind and a passion for creating things drew me into the field of web development. I've always loved going from nothing but an idea to a site people can interact with and find use in. Hence, why I find personal and professional fulfillment in programming.

My skills include HTML/CSS/JS, Ruby on Rails, and Python. In addition to my technical skills, I have a base knowledge of design concepts, am proficient in graphic design using Photoshop and Illustrator, and have picked up some basic digital marketing skills (CPC, content marketing, SEO, SMM, etc.).

I have also co-authored a book title "Clinical Informatics Board Review: Pass the Exam the First Time," managed technical projects of various sizes, and built a business starting with nothing in to a sustainable income stream. So I guess you could say I have a breadth of knowledge in many subjects but a deep understanding of and interest in web development.

I received my Bachelor's degree from James Madison University in Integrated Science and Technology and my Master's degree from the University of Maryland – University College in Technology Management. In addition, I am currently enrolled in Udacity's Full-Stack Web Developer Nanodegree and also have my PMP certification.

When I'm not building websites and applications, you can find me out on the trails doing some running, reading, or hanging out by the water.
